Jennifer’s Body has gained a cult following in recent times, and for good cause. This campy movie, written by Juno’s screenwriter, Diablo Cody, didn’t do effectively in any respect at the field workplace. And with a 45% ranking on Rotten Tomatoes, it’s secure to say high critics weren’t impressed with the Megan Fox movie both. Even the common public missed it. Amanda Seyfried nonetheless can’t perceive why the “masses didn’t show up” for the iconic film. And truthfully? We’re simply as confused.

Fans suppose ‘misogyny’ is what brought on the unhealthy opinions for ‘Jennifer’s Body’
In an article printed by Babe.net, it says, “I blame Misogyny and the boy run media for all the bad reviews Jennifer’s body got in 2009.” According to followers, the cause the horror-comedy had such a poor response was resulting from blatant sexism.
In the movie, Fox performs a preferred cheerleader whose soul will get sacrificed to the satan. Yet, to the misfortune of the indie band that makes an attempt to sacrifice her, it doesn’t find yourself working. Why? Because for Jennifer to die, they needed to sacrifice a virgin. Since Jennifer “isn’t even a backdoor virgin,” she comes again to life as a human succubus.
Needless to say, the film is overflowing with enjoyable moments, and quirky Diablo Cody quips that we now use as our go-to Instagram captions. Yet regardless of all its glory, it was marketed to be a film for “frat boys” to swoon over Fox. (At least that’s what Fox believes.)
One Rotten Tomatoes reviewer writes, “Much to the chagrin of the randy male teenagers that Jennifer’s Body is supposed to lure into theaters, they’re supplied nary a glimpse of Ms. Fox’s bare glories.”
Um. Excuse me?
